RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will resume its nonstop daily flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route revival restores a direct link between the UAE emirate and Kerala’s southern Indian state. Tickets are currently available via the airline’s sales channels. The service will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. Air Arabia announced the restart on October 6.

Offering a new daily direct travel option between the UAE and India, the service will benefit passengers seeking simplified journeys. Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is a prominent city along Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The recent announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it mention the aircraft type planned for the flights. Flight numbers for the October restart have not yet been published by Air Arabia. Travelers can review current schedules when booking flights.
The return of this route was welcomed by Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali, who highlighted that the daily flights would facilitate convenient connections between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also emphasized the growing demand for travel between these destinations. The announcement focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger projections or traffic forecasts. No additional operational adjustments were announced alongside the route’s reopening.
Expansion of Ras Al Khaimah’s network with daily flights
The resumption of Kozhikode flights complements several other international routes from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia operates nonstop services to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network from October 16. The airline started operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, and since then, the emirate has remained one of its UAE bases.
The Kozhikode route was initially launched on November 22, 2023, offering three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These services were operated by Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights, though the airline has not confirmed if the same flight numbers will be used or the specific operating times for the resumed service.
Reservations now available for October 16 restart
Passengers can book tickets through the airline’s website, call center, or travel agencies, as confirmed with the route announcement. The airline has not disclosed when the original Kozhikode service was discontinued, nor the reasons behind the interruption. Starting fares for the resumed flights have not been provided, and aircraft assignment details remain unconfirmed. The key details announced include the destination pair, daily frequency, and the October 16 start date.
Nearly three years after the route’s initial opening, the daily flights will restore a direct connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala, replacing the three-times-weekly schedule initially introduced. The flights will once again operate directly between the two airports without intermediate stops. Those interested in specific flight times, fares, or flight numbers should check the latest booking information before traveling. Air Arabia has not indicated any further changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily restart.
